What are vape coils?

In technical terms, a vape coil is comprised of a wire wound in a spiral around the wicking material of your e-cigarette. This assembly is then installed in the atomizer head of your e-cigarette, with the coil bridging the positive and negative terminals of the battery. When you activate your e-cigarette, the wick absorbs e-liquid, the battery heats the coil, and the coil transforms the e-liquid in the wick into vapour. This vapour travels up through the chimney of your clearomizer or tank, providing inhalable vapour. Coil wire is typically crafted from various conductive, heat-resistant materials, with stainless steel being the most common choice. Some experienced vapers who employ mod kits for sub-ohm vaping opt to create their own coil configurations. They procure special alloy wires and their preferred wicking material, meticulously winding the coil wire, fitting it into their e-cigarette setup, and threading the wicking material through the coil. However, most vapers opt to purchase pre-made replacement coils for convenience.
