- The Xlim 4 is a slim, simple refillable kit. 1600mAh battery, 5 to 30W, button or inhale firing, three power modes and an airflow slider.
- The pods these kits take have the coil built in. When the flavour fades you change the pod, not a coil.
- Pick the pod by draw: 1.2Ω and 0.8Ω for a tight mouth-to-lung draw, 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω for a looser restricted lung draw.
- Want a screen? Look at the Xlim Pro 3, Xlim 3 Ultra or SQ Pro 2. Want the simplest inhale-only kit? The Xlim Go 2 or Go Lite.
What the Xlim 4 brings to the range
The Oxva Xlim 4 has a slim, lightweight body, a top-fill 2ml pod and an airflow slider.
Oxva says the built-in battery recharges in around 55 minutes, and the kit supports both mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted direct-to-lung (RDTL) vaping. You can fire it with the button or simply inhale, so it suits both someone who wants a device that just works and someone who likes a bit of control.
The box contains the Xlim 4 device, 0.8Ω Oxva Xlim Unitech 3.0 pods, a USB-C cable and the user manual. The product page lists ten finishes, from Black Carbon and the pearly Nacre colours to the Silken leather-effect versions.
How the Xlim 4 works day to day
Power modes. Press the button twice to cycle through three modes. Oxva describes Low as the mode that helps preserve battery life, Medium as a balanced setting and High as the mode for enhanced flavour. It’s a simpler system than scrolling through wattage on a screen.
Airflow. The airflow slider tightens or loosens the draw. Set it to suit the pod you’re using. If you’re not sure which style you prefer, our guide to MTL vs DTL vaping explains the difference in plain terms.

Filling. The pod fills from the top, so you can refill it without taking it apart. Leave a small air gap below the top of the pod and give a fresh pod a few minutes to soak before the first puff. If you’re new to refillable kits, our step-by-step guide on how to fill a pod kit correctly walks through it.
Pod compatibility. The Xlim 4 product page lists the Unitech 3.0, Xlim V3 and Xlim EZ refillable pods as compatible. That matters because it means you’re not locked into one pod: you can buy Xlim V3 replacement pods or Xlim EZ pods in the resistance that suits you, and most of the other kits in this guide list V3 or EZ pods as compatible too.
Which Xlim pod should you use?
This is the decision that changes how an Xlim feels far more than the device does. The resistance tells you the kind of draw you’ll get. The wattage figures below are the ranges Oxva gives on the Xlim V3 pod page.
| Pod resistance | Draw style | Oxva’s suggested power | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1.2Ω | Tight MTL | 10 to 12W | The tightest, most discreet draw |
| 0.8Ω | MTL | 12 to 18W | The default; it’s the pod in most Xlim boxes |
| 0.6Ω | Smoother RDTL | 20 to 25W | A looser draw and more vapour |
| 0.4Ω | RDTL | 26 to 30W | The most open draw an Xlim offers |
V3 or EZ? The V3 pod is the long-running standard: top fill under a silicone stopper and a snap-in magnetic fit. The EZ pod is the newer design, and Oxva says it has improved leak resistance and a longer lifespan than the V2 and V3 pods. Both are sold in packs of three. A pod is typically changed every one to three weeks depending on how much you vape and how sweet your liquid is; our guide on when a pod or coil needs changing covers the signs.

Which Xlim suits you?
If the Xlim 4 isn’t quite right, one of these probably is.
The Pro 3 has a 1.05-inch colour display that shows battery level, wattage and puff count. It sets the power to match the pod automatically, or you can set your own wattage with the control button. It suits someone moving up from a basic kit who wants to experiment with the 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω pods.
1500mAh, up to 30W, MTL and RDTL, inhale activation, 2ml top-fill pod, one Xlim pod in the box.

The 3 Ultra has a 2.2-inch HD touchscreen, which you also use to unlock the device. It’s button-free, with Smart Mode setting the wattage from the pod’s resistance, and it comes with both a 0.8Ω and a 0.6Ω pod so you can try both draws from day one.
1500mAh, up to 30W, MTL and RDTL, inhale activation, two pods, lanyard and USB-C cable included.
The SQ Pro 2 matches the Xlim 4’s 1600mAh battery and adds a 1.09-inch touchscreen with Smart Mode and an Eco Mode that Oxva says helps extend battery life on the move. Each 2ml pod has a side-fill port with a rubber stopper.
1600mAh, 5 to 30W, multiple power modes, 0.8Ω and 0.6Ω pods, no cable in the box.
The Pro 2 fires by inhale or button, has Smart Mode plus a variable wattage mode, and top fills under the mouthpiece. The product page says it also accepts Xlim EZ and Xlim V2 pods.
1300mAh, 5 to 30W, MTL and RDTL, two top-fill pods (0.8Ω and 0.6Ω), USB-C cable included.
Both Go kits are inhale-only, with Smart Mode choosing the power. The Go 2 has a 1500mAh battery that Oxva says fully charges in 45 minutes, a light that glows only while you vape and a three-colour battery indicator. The Go Lite is the smallest battery here at 1000mAh, with an RGB battery light and an Xlim V3 pod in the box. Neither includes a USB-C cable.
Go 2: 1500mAh, 30W max, designed for MTL, 0.8Ω pod. Go Lite: 1000mAh, 5 to 30W, MTL and RDTL, 0.8Ω Xlim V3 pod.

The right liquid and strength for an Xlim
Ratio. Oxva recommends 50% VG e-liquid for every Xlim pod, including the 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω versions. In practice that means standard 50/50 nic salts and 50/50 10ml liquids. Following Oxva’s guidance, keep thick 70/30 shortfills for sub-ohm tanks.
A matching liquid. Oxva makes its own nic salt range, Ox Passion. Ox Passion Menthol, for example, is a 50/50 nic salt in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg, sold as single 10ml bottles or in multipacks, and the rest of the range follows the same format.
Strength. Match the strength to how much nicotine you use now. As a guide, social users tend to start around 5mg nic salt, light users 5mg to 10mg, moderate users 10mg, heavy users 10mg to 20mg and very heavy users 20mg, which is the UK legal maximum. The 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω pods run at higher power, so use a lower strength in them and keep 18mg and 20mg out of them. Our full table, with freebase equivalents, is in how much nicotine should I vape.
How long a fill lasts. A typical pod-kit vaper uses about 10ml to 15ml a week, and a 10ml bottle usually lasts three to seven days, which works out at roughly one 2ml pod fill a day.
Setting up a new Xlim in five steps
Whichever Xlim you choose, the first ten minutes decide whether the first pod tastes great or burnt.
- 1
Charge it first. Use the USB-C cable supplied with the kit, or any USB-C cable where none is included, plugged into a standard low-output USB plug or a computer port. Avoid fast-charge bricks, which can push more current than a small kit is designed for, and don’t charge it unattended overnight.
- 2
Fill the pod to the line. Open the fill port (lift the silicone stopper, or on the Xlim Pro 2 lift the mouthpiece), fill with e-liquid and leave a small air gap at the top.
- 3
Let it soak. Oxva’s V3 pod guidance is to stand the filled pod upright for about five minutes so the mesh coil is fully wet before you fire it.
- 4
Start low. On the Xlim 4, begin in Low or Medium mode; on the other kits, let Smart Mode or auto wattage set the power. Take a few short puffs before going to full power.
- 5
Set the airflow. Close the slider for a tight draw, open it for a looser one.

Quick answers
It comes with 0.8Ω Xlim Unitech 3.0 pods, and the product page lists Unitech 3.0, Xlim V3 and Xlim EZ refillable pods as compatible.
No. Power is set with the button rather than on a display. If you want a display, the Xlim Pro 3, Xlim 3 Ultra and Xlim SQ Pro 2 all have one.
No. The coil is built into the pod, so you replace the whole pod when the flavour fades. Xlim V3 and EZ pods come in packs of three.
Yes. The 0.8Ω pod is a mouth-to-lung pod, and a 1.2Ω pod gives an even tighter draw. The 0.6Ω and 0.4Ω pods open it up for restricted lung hits.
Oxva recommends 50% VG liquid for every Xlim pod. In practice that means standard 50/50 nic salts and 50/50 10ml liquids; thick 70/30 shortfills are better kept for sub-ohm tanks.
