- Lost Mary e liquid is sold in 10ml nic salt bottles under the Lost Mary and Maryliq labels, in the same flavours the brand is known for. Browse the full Lost Mary range.
- It is 50/50 PG/VG and nic salt, which is exactly what a refillable pod kit wants. Anything thicker will starve a small pod coil.
- Strength is the main decision. Match it to how much you smoked: 20mg for 20 or more a day, 10mg to 20mg for 15 to 20, 10mg for 10 to 15, 5mg to 10mg for 5 to 10, and 5mg for fewer than five.
- One 10ml bottle refills a 2ml pod about five times and lasts an average user three to seven days. A pod typically lasts one to two weeks.
- If you use Lost Mary hardware, the BM6000 refill pods guide covers that side of the range in detail.
What Lost Mary e liquid is
Lost Mary built its name on flavour, not hardware. Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Watermelon Strawberry and Cherry Ice are among its best-known flavours, and when the market moved away from single-use devices those flavours were bottled rather than dropped. They sell as 10ml nic salts, first under the Maryliq label and more recently under plain Lost Mary branding, and the liquid inside is the same style of mix the brand has always used.
That matters because most bottled liquid is a shop’s interpretation of a popular flavour. Lost Mary bottles come from the brand itself. If you spent a year on Blueberry Sour Raspberry and every other brand’s version tastes slightly wrong, this is the one that will not.
Three things make the range suit refillable kits. It is mixed at 50/50 PG/VG, so it wicks quickly through the tight coils used in pods. It is nicotine salt rather than freebase, so 20mg goes down smoothly instead of scraping your throat. And it comes in 10ml bottles with a fine nozzle that fits a pod fill port without a funnel, which sounds trivial until you have tried to fill a 2ml pod from a wide-mouth shortfill.
The best Lost Mary flavours
These are the best Lost Mary flavours to start with, and the safest first order if you are moving across from a prefilled pod. The range splits into iced fruits, sweet fruit blends, drink-style flavours and one plain mint.
| Flavour | Profile | Cooling | Suits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blueberry Sour Raspberry | Sweet blueberry, sharp raspberry finish | None | The all-day default |
| Strawberry Ice | Ripe strawberry over cool menthol | Medium | Ex-smokers who want fruit plus a cold hit |
| Watermelon Strawberry | Juicy watermelon, ripe strawberry behind it | None | Anyone who dislikes menthol |
| Grape Ice | Dark grape with a frosty exhale | Strong | Heavy cooling fans |
| Banana Ice | Creamy banana, chilled finish | Medium | A break from berries |
| Fresh Mint | Clean, crisp mint, no fruit | Medium | Former menthol cigarette smokers |
Four more worth a bottle
Triple Mango. A sweet, full mango flavour. The pick if you like tropical fruit and find the berry blends too sharp.
Pink Lemonade. Sharp lemonade with a soft berry sweetness. It cuts through where a berry blend starts to taste flat, which makes it a good second bottle.
Lemon Lime. Tart citrus rather than sweet. Pair it with a sweet fruit and switch between the two to keep both tasting fresh.
Watermelon Ice. Light watermelon with a cool finish. Gentler than Grape Ice if you want some chill without the full blast.
The rest of the range covers Cherry Ice, Cherry Mojito, Raspberry Peach, Strawberry Banana, Pineapple Ice, Kiwi Passionfruit Guava, Blackberry Ice, Blueberry Cherry Cranberry, Blueberry, Mr Blue and Gami.
How to choose your first bottle. If you liked a Lost Mary bar or prefilled pod, start with that flavour in bottled form. For fruit without menthol, try Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Watermelon Strawberry or Triple Mango. For a cold hit, Strawberry Ice or Grape Ice. For citrus, Lemon Lime or Pink Lemonade. For no fruit at all, Fresh Mint.
Buy two flavours rather than one. Palate fatigue is real, and a sweet fruit tastes flat by the end of a week if it is the only thing you vape. Keeping one fruit and one mint on the go solves it, and it costs you nothing extra because both bottles get used either way.

Which kit to put it in
Lost Mary liquid is not tied to Lost Mary hardware. Any refillable MTL pod kit with a coil from 0.6Ω to 1.2Ω will run it well, which covers almost everything in the pod kits category. What it will not suit is a sub-ohm tank on a mod, where 20mg salt at 40 watts is far too much nicotine.
Those two routes are worth understanding properly because people mix them up. Lost Mary’s own devices take their own prefilled pods, such as the BM6000 prefilled pods, that arrive already filled, so the bottled liquid is not for them. The bottles are for a separate refillable kit, and that is the cheaper of the two paths by a clear margin once you are past the first purchase. Plenty of people keep both: a prefilled kit in a coat pocket for convenience and a refillable one at home.
If you are choosing between brands rather than formats, Lost Mary vs Hayati lines the two up side by side on pods, flavour and running cost.
Picking your nicotine strength
The right strength depends on how much you smoked, not on what sounds sensible.
20mg suits 20 or more a day. It is the UK legal maximum, and in salt form it is smooth enough in a low-power pod kit. 10mg to 20mg suits 15 to 20 a day, 10mg suits 10 to 15, 5mg to 10mg suits 5 to 10, and 5mg suits a social smoker on fewer than five.
Nicotine-containing bottles are capped at 10ml in the UK, so there is no larger Lost Mary bottle to buy. If your strength is settled, buying a multi-pack of 10mls is the way to keep it stocked. Our guide on how much nicotine you should vape walks through the same decision in more depth, and the wider nic salt range is worth a look if you want the same strength in a different flavour family.
One caution on the ratio. Lost Mary bottles are 50/50, which is deliberate. If you ever top up with a 70/30 shortfill because it is what you have in the cupboard, expect the coil to struggle. Thick liquid and a 1.0Ω pod coil is the classic recipe for a burnt hit.
How to refill a pod without ruining it
Leaking, weak flavour and a coil dying in three days usually come down to how the pod was filled. Ten minutes of patience on the first fill buys you a fortnight of clean vaping.
- 1
Prime a new coil before you fill. Put two or three drops of liquid directly onto the exposed cotton in the pod. It saturates the wick from the inside and stops the first puff scorching it.
- 2
Fill slowly and stop short of the top. Angle the pod, put the nozzle into the fill port and squeeze gently. Leave a few millimetres of air. A pod filled to the brim has nowhere to equalise pressure and will weep out of the airflow.
- 3
Seal the port and wait ten minutes. Press the bung fully home, then leave the pod upright and do nothing. The cotton needs that time to soak through, and rushing it is a common cause of a burnt first tank.
- 4
Start on the lowest power setting. If the kit is adjustable, begin low and work up until the flavour is right. Going straight to maximum wattage on fresh cotton is how a coil that should last two weeks lasts two days.
- 5
Top up before it runs dry. Refill at about a quarter full rather than letting the pod empty. Dry firing even once leaves a scorched taste in the cotton that no amount of fresh liquid will shift.
If you want the same process with pictures and the device-specific quirks covered, see how to fill a pod kit correctly.
Bottled liquid versus buying prefilled pods
Both formats are legal, current and sitting on the shelf, so this is a straight preference rather than a switch you are forced into. The trade is convenience against cost and choice.
Prefilled pods win on convenience. There is nothing to carry, nothing to spill and nothing to prime. Snap the pod in and it works. If you vape on the move, or you have tried refilling and found it fiddly, that is a perfectly good reason to stay with prefilled pod kits and not think about it again.
Bottles win on cost and flexibility. One 10ml bottle covers roughly five pod fills, which is a lot more vaping per pound than five sealed pods. You are also not limited to whatever flavours the pod range happens to include, you can change flavour mid-week by keeping a second pod filled with something else rather than finishing a sealed cartridge you have gone off. None of that is possible with a sealed pod.
Making a bottle last, and what the duty changes
A 10ml bottle gives about five fills of a 2ml pod. For an average pod-kit user that is three to seven days, so one pod usually sees you through one to four bottles.
Storage is the other half of it. Keep bottles upright, capped and out of direct sunlight, and they will hold flavour for well over a year. Heat and light are what degrade nicotine and dull a fruit flavour, so a kitchen cupboard beats a car glovebox or a sunny windowsill. A bottle that has gone noticeably darker has usually oxidised, and the flavour will have flattened.
From 1 October 2026 the Vaping Products Duty adds £2.20 per 10ml plus VAT to every bottle of e-liquid, which lands at £2.64 on each 10ml at the till. That applies to prefilled pods as well, charged on the liquid inside them, so the gap between the two formats stays roughly where it is now. Stock held before that date can be sold at pre-duty prices until 31 March 2027, so if you have settled on a flavour and a strength, there is a window worth using.

Quick answers
Blueberry Sour Raspberry is the safest first bottle: sweet, sharp and no menthol. If you like menthol, Strawberry Ice or Grape Ice. For something sharper, Pink Lemonade or Lemon Lime.
About five fills of a standard 2ml pod from a 10ml bottle. UK law caps nicotine-containing bottles at 10ml, so that is the largest size available.
The bottled flavours are made by Lost Mary rather than copied by another brand, so they should be close. The only difference you might notice is airflow: a different kit can make the same liquid taste slightly warmer or cooler.
50/50, which is what every Lost Mary bottle is mixed at. Higher VG liquid is too thick for the small coils in a pod and will wick slowly, giving you dry hits.
Typically one to two weeks if you prime it properly and never let it run dry. Sweet and dark fruit flavours shorten that because the sweeteners build up on the coil faster.
You can, and fruit blends generally work well together. It is cleaner to keep two pods on the go instead, one per flavour, so you can switch without committing a whole pod to a mix you may not like.
