Vuse Pro pods at a glance
The Vuse Pro prefilled pods are the refill for the Vuse Pro device. Each pod arrives filled and ready, so there is no bottle, no coil to change and nothing to fill. When it is finished, you take it out and fit the next one.
| Spec | Vuse Pro prefilled pods |
|---|---|
| Capacity | 2ml prefilled per pod |
| Pack size | 2 pods |
| Liquid | Nic salt, 50/50 PG/VG |
| Strengths | 12mg, 18mg |
| Activation | Draw-activated |
| Fits | Vuse Pro device |
The 2ml capacity is the UK maximum for any nicotine pod, and both strengths are within the 20mg/ml legal limit. Because they are prefilled, they are an easy option for anyone who wants a prefilled pod kit rather than a refillable one.
The full flavour line-up
The flavour list on the Vuse Pro pods has shifted over time, and older articles still mention flavours that are no longer listed. These are the flavours shown on the product page today, grouped by style.
| Style | Flavours | Good if you like |
|---|---|---|
| Berry | Berry Blend, Berry Watermelon, Blue Raspberry | Sweet, sharp berry flavours |
| Ice | Blueberry Ice, Grape Ice, Mango Ice, Passion Fruit Ice, Strawberry Ice, Watermelon Ice | Fruit with a cool finish |
| Fruit | Strawberry & Kiwi | A classic sweet-and-tangy pairing |
| Creamy and tropical | Creamy Peach, Tropical Coconut Blend | Softer, rounder flavours |
If you are new to Vuse, the ice flavours are the easiest place to start: they are the largest group in the range, with a clean cooling finish that suits nic salt. Blue Raspberry and Berry Blend are the picks for anyone who likes a sweeter, candy-style berry. Creamy Peach and Tropical Coconut Blend are the ones to try if you find ice flavours too sharp.

Flavour is personal, so a good way to explore is to buy two or three different packs at once rather than committing to one. Every pack holds two pods, which is usually enough to tell whether a flavour is right for you.
A simple way to build a rotation is to pick one ice flavour, one berry and one of the softer creamy or tropical options. Switching between contrasting styles also keeps your palate fresh: after a week on the same flavour it can start to taste muted, and a change often brings it back. Your order history keeps the flavour and strength, so you can repeat the ones you like without guessing.
Ice flavours use a cooling agent rather than extra nicotine, so the cool finish does not change the strength. If you find a menthol-style chill too much first thing in the morning, save the ice pods for later in the day and start with a berry or fruit flavour instead.
12mg or 18mg: choosing a strength
Vuse Pro pods come in two strengths, and the right one depends on your habit rather than your flavour. Our nicotine guide suggests nic salt strengths by how much you smoked or vaped before:
| Habit | Nic salt range |
|---|---|
| Social, under 5 a day | 5mg |
| Light, 5 to 10 a day | 5mg to 10mg |
| Moderate, 10 to 15 a day | 10mg |
| Heavy, 15 to 20 a day | 10mg to 20mg |
| Very heavy, 20 plus a day | 20mg |
On that basis, 12mg sits close to the moderate band and 18mg towards the heavy end. If you were a moderate smoker, 12mg is the closer match; heavier smokers usually look at 18mg. If 18mg feels harsh on the throat, 12mg is the gentler choice. Our nicotine strength guide covers this in detail, and nic salts vs e-liquids explains how nic salts differ from standard freebase liquids.
Nicotine is addictive. Whichever strength you choose, keep pods out of reach of children and pets.
The red seal: setting up a new pod
Every Vuse Pro pod has a red plastic seal. The product listing gives one instruction for it: push upwards on the red plastic seal and wait ten seconds before you start vaping. It is a small step, but it is the difference between a smooth first puff and a dry one. Here is the full routine.
- 1
Charge the device. Use the magnetic USB cable from the kit, plugged into a standard low-output USB plug or a computer port. Avoid fast-charge bricks.
- 2
Take a fresh pod from the pack. Check the red seal is still in place. If it has been knocked, use the other pod.
- 3
Push the red seal upwards. Press it firmly until it moves up, as the instructions describe.
- 4
Wait ten seconds. Give the pod time to settle before you draw on it. Do not skip this.
- 5
Insert the pod and draw gently. The device is draw-activated, so just inhale. Start with a couple of short, gentle puffs.
If your first puff still tastes dry or harsh, stop, wait a little longer and try again with a softer draw. A burnt taste later in a pod’s life is different: that means it is finished and should be replaced. Our guide on when to change a pod or coil explains the signs.
The Vuse Pro device
The Vuse Pro prefilled pod kit is the battery the pods fit. It is a slim, pocket-sized MTL device with a mesh coil design, draw activation, a battery indicator LED and enhanced water resistance, described as splash proof. The battery is 370mAh, and the listing says it charges to 80% in 35 minutes.

One thing to know before you order: the kit comes with the device, a magnetic USB cable and a user guide, but no pod. Add a pack of Vuse Pro pods in your chosen flavour and strength to the same order so you can start straight away. Keep the battery healthy by charging with a low-output plug and not leaving it on charge unattended overnight. Our guide to looking after your vape battery has more.
Getting clean flavour from every pod
Space your puffs. Rapid back-to-back draws keep the coil hot and can dull the flavour. A few seconds between puffs lets the pod recover.
Keep it at room temperature. A pod left in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill can taste flat. Store spares in a cool drawer.
Wipe the contacts. If the device stops firing, a quick wipe of the pod and battery contacts with a dry tissue often sorts it.
Take spares out with you. Pods are small, so carrying a second one means you are not caught short. If you are heading abroad, our holiday vaping guide covers what to pack.
If you are weighing up whether to stay with prefilled pods or move to refilling your own, refillable pods vs prefilled pods sets out the trade-offs. And if you are new to nic salts in general, start with how to use nic salts.
Duty and cost
From 1 October 2026, Vaping Products Duty applies to all vaping liquid, including the liquid in prefilled pods, at £2.20 per 10ml, or £2.64 with VAT. It is the same rate per ml on every format, so it does not change whether pods or bottles work out cheaper for you. Pre-duty stock is on sale until 31 March 2027.
