600 Puff Pod Kits: Why They Are So Popular in the UK

600 puff kits

A rechargeable battery, a click-in prefilled pod rated for around 600 puffs, and nothing to fill or fiddle with. Here’s why this format became the UK’s default after the single-use ban, and which kits do it best.

Fifi Crystal 600 rechargeable prefilled pod vape kit

Only got a minute?
  • A 600 puff kit is a rechargeable pod kit, not a throwaway. You keep the battery and swap in a new 2ml prefilled pod, rated for around 600 puffs, whenever the old one runs dry.
  • It is the legal replacement for the banned single-use format. A 600 puff pod kit feels the same in the hand and gives the same draw as the old device, but stays on the right side of the law. Our UK vape law guide sets out the rules on pod size and strength.
  • The appeal is familiarity, low upfront cost and zero refilling. Same size, same tight draw, same 20mg nic salt, with a rechargeable battery that lasts as long as you keep charging it.
  • Pods come in packs of two or three, so a reorder is a small, predictable purchase. The kits and their pods are stocked in our prefilled pod kits and prefilled pods ranges.
  • The 600 kits we stock include the Fifi Crystal 600, 88Vape 600, Elf Bar 600, Elf Bar Elfa, Hawcos x Lost Mary Crystal Pro 600, Lost Mary BM600 and Gold Bar Reload 600. All are compared below.

A 600 puff kit, defined

The name causes confusion, so let’s be precise. A 600 puff kit is a small rechargeable pod device sold with one or two prefilled pods. Each pod holds 2ml of nic salt e-liquid, the UK legal maximum, and is rated for roughly 600 puffs. When the pod is finished you pull it out, click in a fresh one, and carry on. The battery recharges and is reused indefinitely.

That makes it a different product from the old single-use device, which had a fixed battery and a fixed pod, and went in the bin after 600 puffs. The pod kit keeps the bit that people liked, the compact size and the familiar draw, and drops the bit that the law objected to, which was throwing away a lithium battery every couple of days.

The device
A slim rechargeable battery, USB-C on most current kits. Draw-activated, no buttons, no settings. You buy it once.
The pod
2ml of 20mg nic salt with a built-in coil, sealed at the factory, rated for around 600 puffs. Sold in packs of two or three.
The routine
Charge the battery, click in a pod, vape until it fades, swap the pod. No filling, no coils, no priming.

Why the format took off

It feels familiar. Many UK adults spent two or three years vaping a 600-puff device before the ban. The pod kits that replaced it are built to the same size and give the same tight mouth-to-lung draw, so there is nothing new to learn. If the old routine worked, the new one is identical apart from the charging cable and the pod swap.

The upfront cost is low. A 600 puff kit is one of the cheapest ways into a rechargeable device. There is no tank, no separate coils and no bottle of liquid to buy on day one. You buy the kit, and it works out of the box. For someone trying vaping for the first time, or someone who does not want to commit to a bigger kit, that is a very easy decision.

There is no refilling. Plenty of people simply do not want to handle e-liquid. They do not want to carry a bottle, they do not want to learn about VG/PG ratios, and they do not want a leak in a pocket. A prefilled pod removes all of that. The liquid is sealed in, the coil is matched to it, and every pod tastes the same as the last.

It travels well. A sealed pod cannot leak in a bag the way a part-filled tank can, the device is small enough for a coin pocket, and a spare pack of pods weighs next to nothing. For a commute, a night out or a weekend away it is the least fuss of any format, and there is no glass to crack.

Reorders are small and predictable. A two-pack or three-pack of pods is a modest purchase, and because every pod is rated for the same number of puffs, you know roughly how long a pack lasts you. That is easier to budget for than a big kit with a big pod, even if a bigger kit works out cheaper over a month.

The 600 puff kits on our shelves

Every kit below is a rechargeable prefilled pod kit from our prefilled pod kits range. Pick the kit whose flavour list you like, then reorder the matching pods.

Fifi Crystal 600 Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

The Fifi Crystal 600 is a sensible first pick. It has the clear crystal-style body that made the old single-use devices recognisable, a USB-C rechargeable battery, and pods that come in packs of three rather than two, which means one reorder covers more days. The flavour list leans fruity and iced, which is exactly what most 600 users are looking for.

Spec: rechargeable USB-C battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs. Pods: Fifi Crystal 600 pods, pack of 3.

88Vape 600 Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

88Vape 600 rechargeable prefilled pod vape kit

88Vape built its name on value, and the 88Vape 600 carries that into the pod kit format. It is a straightforward rechargeable device with two-pack pods and a flavour range that covers the classics: fruits, menthols and a tobacco for anyone who wants one. If your priority is keeping the running cost as low as possible, this is the kit to look at.

Spec: rechargeable USB-C battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs.

Elf Bar 600 Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

This is the kit for anyone who used the Elf Bar 600 before the ban and wants the same thing back. Same familiar draw and the same flavour names, but now with a rechargeable battery and a pod that clicks out. Replacement pods are sold separately; check our prefilled pods range for the current Elf Bar 600 pod listing.

Spec: rechargeable battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs. Pods: sold separately, see the prefilled pods range.

Elf Bar Elfa Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

The Elfa was Elf Bar’s original pod kit and has been around since well before the ban, which means the pod supply is deep and the flavour range is long. It is a touch slimmer than the 600-shaped kits, with a soft-touch body and a battery that comfortably outlasts a pod. The Elfa Pro pods fit it and come in two-packs.

Spec: rechargeable USB-C battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs. Pods: Elf Bar Elfa Pro pods, 2 pack.

Hawcos x Lost Mary Crystal Pro 600 Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

A collaboration between Lost Mary and Hawcos, the Crystal Pro 600 brings Lost Mary’s flavour library into a crystal-bodied rechargeable kit. It carries its own Lost Mary flavour line, chosen for the crystal format, so it is worth a look if you liked the brand’s fruit and ice blends.

Spec: rechargeable battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs. Pods: Hawcos x Lost Mary Crystal Pro 600 pods, 2 pack.

Lost Mary BM600 Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

Lost Mary BM600 prefilled pod vape kit

The BM600 is the rechargeable version of Lost Mary’s best-known shape. It is boxy, pocketable and instantly recognisable, and the BM600 pods come in two-packs across the main Lost Mary flavour range. It is the natural pick for anyone who liked the original BM600 and wants the legal version.

Spec: rechargeable USB-C battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs. Pods: Lost Mary BM600 pods, 2 pack.

Gold Bar Reload 600 Prefilled Pod Vape Kit

Gold Bar’s Reload 600 is the premium-feeling option in the group, with a metallic finish and a firmer build than the plastic-bodied kits. The pods are two-packs, sold separately, and the flavours follow Gold Bar’s sweeter, dessert-led range. Good for anyone who wants a 600 kit that looks a little less like the thing it replaced.

Spec: rechargeable battery, 2ml prefilled pod, 20mg nic salt, rated at 600 puffs. Pods: sold separately, see the prefilled pods range.

Getting started with a 600 puff kit

  1. 1
Charge it fully first. Kits ship part-charged. Use the cable supplied with the kit in a standard low-output USB plug or a computer port, avoid fast-charge bricks, and do not leave it charging unattended overnight. A full charge before the first pod means the battery, not the pod, sets the pace on day one.
  2. 2
Remove the pod seals. Most pods have a silicone bung in the mouthpiece and a sticker over the base contacts. Take both off, or the pod won’t draw.
  3. 3
Click it in and wait a minute. The coil is already wet, but a short pause lets the wick settle. Then take short, gentle draws; a 600 pod is built for mouth-to-lung.
  4. 4
Swap at the flavour fade. When the taste thins out, the pod is nearly done. Change it then rather than pushing on to a burnt hit.
  5. 5
Keep a pack in reserve. Pods are small and sealed, so a spare pack in a drawer keeps for months and saves a late-night dash when the last one fades.

Is a 600 kit the right size for you?

It suits light and moderate users best. If a pod lasts you two to four days, the format is doing its job: small reorders, nothing wasted, and a device that fits in a coin pocket. If you’re getting through a pod a day, you are buying and swapping pods often, and a bigger-puff prefilled kit or a refillable pod kit will cost you less per week. Our prefilled pod kit buying guide walks through the bigger formats and the refillable route.

Two things to know before you buy. First, pods are not cross-compatible: a Fifi pod will not fit an Elf Bar kit and so on, so choose a brand you’re happy to stick with, or read our prefilled pod compatibility guide first. Second, the kits linked here are 20mg, and although some 600 ranges also offer a 10mg pod, the choice is narrow. If you want a lower strength, you will need to look at a refillable kit and a 10ml bottle, which lets you pick anything from 3mg up.

On cost, remember that Vaping Products Duty starts on 1 October 2026 at £2.20 per 10ml plus VAT, and it applies to the liquid inside prefilled pods as much as to bottles. Pre-duty stock can be sold until 31 March 2027. Our vape tax guide covers the detail.

Quick answers

Are 600 puff kits legal in the UK?

Yes. They are rechargeable devices with replaceable 2ml pods, which is exactly what the law allows. The ban that came in on 1 June 2025 covers single-use disposable devices only.

How long does one pod last?

Around 600 puffs at a short draw. For a light user that is two to four days; for a heavy user it can be a day. Your first pod will tell you where you sit.

Do I have to charge it?

Yes. Being rechargeable with a replaceable pod is what makes it legal, and it is what keeps the cost down. Every kit here is rechargeable, most over USB-C (check the product page for the port), and a full battery generally outlasts a pod, so most people charge every couple of days. Use the cable in the box with a low-output plug rather than a fast-charge brick.

Can I refill the pods with my own e-liquid?

No. The pods are sealed and the coils are matched to the factory liquid. If you want to refill, choose a refillable pod kit instead; they take 10ml nic salts in any strength.

Will one brand’s pods fit another brand’s kit?

No. Each kit takes its own pods. Buy the pods named for your device and check the product page if you are unsure.

Is a 600 kit a good first vape?

For many adults, yes. It is low-cost to start, there is nothing to learn and the draw is a tight mouth-to-lung style. Bear in mind that the pods for the kits here are 20mg, which the usual strength tables match to a heavy or very heavy habit; lighter users may prefer a refillable kit and a lower-strength 10ml bottle.

Puff counts are manufacturer ratings and vary with use. Product availability and flavour ranges change; check the product page for current options. For adult smokers and vapers aged 18+ only.
