Hayati Pro Max+ pods: the replacement pod buying guide

How the Hayati pod system works

Since single-use disposable vapes were banned in the UK on 1 June 2025, the Hayati Pro Max+ and Pro Ultra Plus are two of the rechargeable kits that replaced it. They are rechargeable prefilled pod kits: a battery unit you keep, plus a pod you swap out when it runs dry. Nothing to fill, nothing to prime, no coils to change.

UK law caps any nicotine-containing pod at 2ml, and every Hayati pod is a prefilled 2ml pod. Each kit also carries a manufacturer’s rated puff count, 6,000 for the Pro Max+ and 25,000 for the Pro Ultra Plus, measured with short, regular machine draws. You never handle liquid; when a pod is spent, you click in a new one.

Hayati Pro Max+ 6000 Prefilled Pod

This is the everyday pod for the everyday Hayati user. It’s a mouth-to-lung pod with a mesh coil and a 50/50 liquid, so the draw feels tight and familiar if you’ve come from cigarettes or from the old Pro Max single-use device. The flavour range is wide. It is sold here in 20mg, and the listing shows whether other strengths are available for a given flavour.

The Pro Max+ kit is rated at 6,000 puffs. Because the pod is the smaller purchase of the two, it is the one to buy in multiples so you always have the next flavour to hand.

Hayati Pro Ultra Plus 25000 Prefilled Pod

The Ultra Plus pod is the replacement pod for the Hayati Pro Ultra Plus 25000, a prefilled 2ml pod format kit rated at 25,000 puffs. It is a 20mg pod, so it suits people who know they want full strength and are not planning to change. The draw is the same tight mouth-to-lung style as the Pro Max+, and the mesh coil is built into the pod, so a fresh pod is also a fresh coil.

Getting the best value on replacement pods

Pods are the running cost of a prefilled kit, and running costs are where value is won or lost. The device is a one-off; the pods are forever. So rather than hunting for a headline discount, it pays to set up your reorders so that every one earns you something back.

Pods are matched to a device by size and connection, not by brand name.

On how many to order, work it out from your own use rather than the rating on the box: note how long your first pod lasted you, then order enough to cover a month with one spare. The spare matters because pods can taste weaker towards the end, and having the next one to hand means you swap at the first sign of fade rather than pushing a tired coil. Choosing flavours without wasting a pod

The Hayati Pro Max range is also sold as 10ml nic salt bottles under the same flavour names. If you own a refillable pod kit as well, a bottle of Hayati Pro Max nic salt in the same flavour, from the nic salts range, is a low-risk way to try a profile before buying it as a pod. The same flavour names also appear as 100ml shortfills for sub-ohm users, so a favourite found in a pod can follow you to a bigger kit later.

If you only own the prefilled kit, start with the Pro Max+ 6000 pod for any new flavour. It is the smaller purchase, and it comes in the same flavour families as the Pro Ultra Plus, so once you find a favourite you can move up with confidence.

Storing and swapping pods

Prefilled pods are sealed, so they keep well, but they are not indestructible. Keep spares upright in the box, in a cool cupboard, away from direct sunlight and away from the radiator. Heat thins the liquid and can push it past the seals; cold thickens it and slows wicking for the first few puffs. Neither ruins a pod, but both shorten its best-before window. A drawer is the right place for spares.

When you swap, pull the old pod straight up and out, push the new one in until it clicks, and give it a minute before the first draw so the wick settles. If the first few puffs are thin, that is normal; if the pod still tastes weak after a few minutes, check it is seated fully. If it still tastes weak after reseating, the pod may have been stored too cold; warm it in your hand for a minute and try again.

Spent pods go in the electrical recycling stream, not general waste. The battery is in the device, not the pod, but the pod still contains a coil and residual liquid. Most councils accept them at the recycling centre alongside small electricals, and retailers take back like-for-like when you buy a replacement.
