- An all in one vape kit puts the battery, pod and coil in one small body. Nothing to build, nothing to set up, and most are draw-activated. Browse the full range of prefilled pod kits.
- Best prefilled picks: the Lost Mary DM1200 for simplicity, the Relx MaxGo Combo 33K for battery and puff count, and the Juicy Pod 6000 Pro if you want adjustable power.
- Best small refillable picks for travel: the Vaporesso Xros 5 Mini for its 1500mAh battery, plus the VOOPOO Argus G3 Mini, Uwell Caliburn G4 Mini and Elf Bar ELFX Mini.
- Prefilled kits are the legal replacement for disposables, which have been banned in the UK since 1 June 2025. Refillable kits cost less per ml once the vape duty lands in October 2026.
- Flying? Kits go in hand luggage only, never the hold. Empty or seal pods, and keep e-liquid in your 100ml liquids bag.
Why compact all in one kits have taken over
Three groups of vapers keep landing on the same type of device: ex-disposable users who want the draw-activated feel they are used to now that single-use vapes are off the shelves, ex-smokers who want something that slips into a pocket like a packet of cigarettes, and anyone who travels or commutes and needs a kit that is light, leak-resistant and lasts the day.
A compact all in one kit answers all three. The battery, pod and coil are built into a single body, the pod either arrives prefilled or fills in ten seconds, and there are no settings to learn. To compare this style against every other type, see our guide to choosing the right vape kit and the best vape kits in the UK. This post stays with the small stuff.
What makes a good compact kit
Small is easy. Small and good is harder, because every millimetre saved comes out of the battery or the pod. These are the things that separate a kit you keep from one you replace in a month.
The one thing you do not need is power. Most of these kits sit between 10W and 25W, with the most powerful topping out at 35W, and they pair with 10mg or 20mg nic salt e-liquids. That combination satisfies at low wattage, which is why a small battery can last all day.
Best prefilled all in one kits
These are the closest thing to a disposable that you can legally buy in the UK. The battery is rechargeable, the pods click in prefilled with 20mg nic salt (18mg for Relx), and when a pod runs dry you replace the pod, not the device. Each of these is draw-activated and mouth-to-lung.
Lost Mary DM1200 Prefilled Pod Kit
The DM1200 is the simplest kit here and the one we point ex-disposable users to first. It arrives with two prefilled 2ml pods, roughly 600 puffs each, and an 850mAh battery that comfortably covers a day of normal use. The QUAQ mesh coil keeps the flavour even across the whole pod and the draw is tight and familiar. There is no button, no screen and no adjustment, which is the point, and the DM1200 pods come in a small set of familiar flavours.
Battery: 850mAh. Pod: 2ml prefilled, two in the box, about 600 puffs each and 1200 in total. Coil: QUAQ mesh. Strength: 20mg. Draw-activated.

Relx MaxGo Combo 33K Prefilled Pod Kit
The MaxGo Combo is the big-puff option. It takes prefilled 2ml pods with a dual mesh coil at up to 25W, so you get a fuller, warmer draw than the DM1200, and the manufacturer rates it at 33,000 puffs. The 850mAh battery charges over USB-C, and the liquid is visible without a screen. A switchable mouthpiece lets you flip between the two flavours the kit ships with. It is a little larger than the other two but still fits a jeans pocket. Note the strength is 18mg rather than 20mg.
Battery: 850mAh, USB-C fast charging. Pod: prefilled 2ml, rated at 33,000 puffs. Coil: dual mesh, max 25W output. Strength: 18mg. Draw-activated, switchable mouthpiece, leak-resistant design.
Juicy Pod 6000 Pro Dual Mesh Prefilled Pod Kit
The Juicy Pod 6000 Pro is for the vaper who wants a prefilled kit but misses having some control. Output is adjustable between 17W and 22W, so you can run it cooler for a longer pod life or warmer for a bigger hit. The dual mesh 0.6Ω coil gives richer flavour than a single mesh and is harder to burn. It takes prefilled 2ml pods and is rated at 6,000 puffs. It fires on draw, with the output adjustable across that range.
Battery: 650mAh, fast charging. Pod: prefilled 2ml, rated at 6,000 puffs. Coil: dual mesh 0.6Ω, 17W to 22W adjustable. Strength: 20mg. Draw or button.

Best small refillable kits for travel
Prefilled kits are the easiest, but if you are away for a week a refillable mini pod kit is lighter to pack, cheaper to run and simpler to top up from a single 10ml bottle. These four are the compact refillables we send out most, and all of them take 50/50 or nic salt e-liquid. The table further down puts them alongside the three prefilled kits above so you can see the whole set in one place.
Vaporesso Xros 5 Mini Pod Kit
The Xros 5 Mini is our first pick for travel because it has the biggest battery in this size class: 1500mAh in a body that fits a coin pocket, so most vapers get a day and a half before it needs a cable. It is inhale-activated with no button, has adjustable airflow, and uses the Xros pod range, so you can swap between a tight 0.6Ω pod and a looser 0.4Ω one without buying a new kit.
Battery: 1500mAh, USB-C 2A. Pod: 2ml refillable, top fill. Coil: 0.6Ω COREX 2.0 mesh, 0.4Ω available. Adjustable airflow, inhale-activated.

VOOPOO Argus G3 Mini Pod Kit
The Argus G3 Mini is the solid one. VOOPOO build it with an aluminium shell rather than plastic, which suits a bag that gets thrown around at airports and on trains. The 1350mAh battery is close to the Xros 5 Mini, the airflow is fixed so there is nothing to set, and the top-fill pod is quick to refill without a mess.
Battery: 1350mAh, USB-C. Pod: refillable top-fill. Coil: built-in mesh. Fixed airflow, aluminium body.
Uwell Caliburn G4 Mini Pod Kit
Uwell’s Caliburn line has a reputation for flavour, and the G4 Mini keeps it in a smaller, lighter body. The 1100mAh battery is enough for a day for most vapers, the coil system is Uwell’s own and pulls flavour out of nic salts that other kits flatten, and the build quality is high for the size. Choose it if taste matters more to you than a second day of battery.
Battery: 1100mAh, USB-C. Pod: refillable 2ml Caliburn G3 pods (also takes GPP pods). Coil: Uwell mesh. Lightweight, premium build.
Elf Bar ELFX Mini Pod Kit
The ELFX Mini is Elf Bar’s refillable answer for the people who loved its disposables. It uses a dual mesh coil for a warm, dense draw that feels closest to the old 600-puff devices, the airflow is adjustable, and the slim, rounded body is the most pocketable of the four. The 1000mAh battery is the smallest here but still covers a normal day. A good choice for someone making the jump from disposables who wants a familiar feel with a refillable pod.
Battery: 1000mAh, USB-C. Pod: refillable ELFX pods. Coil: dual mesh. Adjustable airflow, slim design.
| Kit | Battery | Pod type | Why pack it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vaporesso Xros 5 Mini | 1500mAh | Refillable | Longest battery in the class, wide pod choice |
| VOOPOO Argus G3 Mini | 1350mAh | Refillable | Toughest build for rough handling |
| Uwell Caliburn G4 Mini | 1100mAh | Refillable | Best flavour, lightest feel |
| Elf Bar ELFX Mini | 1000mAh | Refillable | Closest feel to a disposable, slimmest |
| Lost Mary DM1200 | 850mAh | Prefilled | No bottles to pack, swap pods and go |
| Relx MaxGo Combo 33K | 850mAh | Prefilled, built-in | One device covers a whole holiday |
| Juicy Pod 6000 Pro | 650mAh | Prefilled | Adjustable power in a prefilled kit |
All four refillables are in the pod kits category. If you are new to refilling, our best pod kits for beginners guide explains what to expect from the first fill.
Prefilled or refillable?
The prefilled kits win on convenience: no bottles, no filling, no choosing a coil. The refillable kits win on running cost and flexibility. From 1 October 2026 the Vaping Products Duty adds ÂŁ2.20 per 10ml plus VAT to every e-liquid, prefilled pods included. A refillable kit fed from 10ml bottles carries the same duty per ml, but the base cost of a 10ml bottle is far lower than the same volume in prefilled pods, so the total stays lower.
Our rule of thumb: if you are coming straight off disposables and the main risk is giving up and going back to cigarettes, buy a prefilled kit and keep it simple. If you have been vaping for a few months and know your flavour and strength, a refillable mini kit will save money and pack lighter. Ex-smokers weighing up the same choice will find more in best vape kits for ex-smokers.
Compact kits vs box mods
Some vapers come to this page wondering whether to downsize from a mod. A compact kit will not match a mod for vapour or battery, and it is not trying to. It is trying to disappear into a pocket and work every time you pick it up.
| Feature | Compact all in one kit | Box mod kit |
|---|---|---|
| Ease of use | Minimal setup, often no buttons | Menus, wattage and coil choices to learn |
| Size and weight | Pocket-sized, under 50g in most cases | Larger and heavier, needs a bag or a big pocket |
| Battery | Built-in, 650mAh to 1500mAh, USB-C | Often removable 18650 or 21700 cells for longer use |
| Customisation | Airflow, sometimes a wattage range | Full wattage, temperature and coil control |
| Maintenance | Swap the pod | Coil changes, tank cleaning, battery care |
| Best for | Convenience, travel, nic salts, ex-smokers | Hobbyists who want clouds, power and control |

How to travel with a compact vape
A few habits stop a trip going wrong at security or in a hotel room, whether you are on a train to Glasgow or a flight to Alicante.
- 1
Charge to full the night before. Airport queues and long transfers are where a half-charged kit dies. Pack a short USB-C cable in the same pocket as the kit so they never separate.
- 2
Keep it in hand luggage, never the hold. Lithium batteries are banned from checked bags on every airline. Vape kits and spare pods travel in your cabin bag; e-liquid bottles of 10ml go in the clear liquids bag. Our guide to vaping and flying covers the rules in detail.
- 3
Run the pod low before you fly. Cabin pressure pushes e-liquid out of a full pod. Fly with the pod a third full or less, or remove it and store it upright in a small zip bag. Refill after landing.
- 4
Switch it off or lock it if the kit allows. Draw-activated kits can fire in a bag if something presses the airflow. Many button kits lock with five clicks. Prefilled kits with no switch should sit in a hard case or an outside pocket, not loose at the bottom of a rucksack.
- 5
Check the rules where you are going. Vaping is legal in most of Europe but some countries ban it outright and others restrict nicotine e-liquid. Take enough pods or 10ml bottles for the whole trip, because you may not be able to buy 20mg nic salts abroad.
The most common mistakes we hear about are packing a kit in the hold, flying with a full pod, and leaving a kit on a sunny dashboard. Heat thins e-liquid and swells batteries, so keep it out of direct sunlight.
Keeping a compact kit running
Small batteries do not like being run flat, and a few minutes of care a week keeps the flavour clean and the battery healthy for a year or more.
Charge before it dies. Topping up at 20 to 30 percent is easier on a lithium cell than running it to zero every day.
Clean the mouthpiece and pod seat. Pocket lint and e-liquid build up where the pod meets the battery. A dry cotton bud once a week stops the contacts fouling.
Change the pod when the flavour drops. A prefilled pod is finished when it tastes muted or starts to catch. A refillable pod lasts around one to two weeks of normal use before the coil fades; a burnt taste means it is already past due.
Store it upright and cool. Lying on its side in a warm room is the fastest route to a leak.
