- Bar Juice 5000 is a UK-made 10ml nic salt at 50VG/50PG, sold in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. It’s designed to copy the flavour profiles of the old disposable bars in a refillable pod kit.
- The range runs past 50 flavours, heavy on fruit and ice. Cherry Cola, Blueberry Sour Raspberry, Fresh Mint and Strawberry Cherry Raspberry are the ones we’d point a first-time buyer to.
- 20mg suits ex-smokers and small pod kits; 10mg is the all-day middle ground; 5mg is for light users or higher-power pods.
- It’s a pod kit liquid. Keep it in coils of 0.8Ω and above at low wattage. Don’t put it in a sub-ohm tank.
- Buying in 3, 5 or 10 packs is the cheapest way to run it, and every £1 earns 1.8 reward points.
What Bar Juice 5000 is
Bar Juice 5000 is a British-made range of nicotine salt e-liquids in 10ml bottles. The name gives away the idea: the flavours are built to match the ones people got used to in disposable bars, so that when you move to a refillable pod kit you don’t have to give up the taste you liked. Since disposable vapes were banned in the UK from 1 June 2025, that’s exactly the move a lot of people have had to make, and it’s why this brand has stayed one of the biggest sellers in our nic salts category.
Every bottle is a 50VG/50PG mix, which is the ratio pod kits are built for. It wicks cleanly in small coils, it doesn’t gunk up as quickly as a thicker liquid, and it gives the tight, restricted draw that feels like a cigarette. Nicotine is in salt form rather than freebase, so a 20mg bottle goes down far more smoothly than the same strength in a freebase 10ml would. That’s what lets you take a strong hit without the cough.
Three strengths are available across the range: 5mg, 10mg and 20mg, with 20mg being the UK legal maximum. Bottles come singly or in 3, 5 and 10 packs of the same flavour and strength, which matters if you find a flavour you settle on.
How it vapes
The thing that stands out with Bar Juice 5000 is consistency. The flavour you get on the first pull of a fresh pod is the flavour you get at the end of the bottle. There’s no sharp start that fades into something muddier after a day, which is a fair criticism of a lot of cheaper salts. The throat hit is soft even at 20mg, and the sweetness is set at a level that most people can vape all day without it turning sickly.
It’s a clean-tasting liquid rather than a complex one. If you’re after layered dessert profiles that shift as you exhale, this isn’t that range. If you want a fruit or a mint that tastes exactly like the label and keeps doing so, it’s hard to fault. That simplicity is also why it suits beginners: nothing to learn, nothing to mix, no strength that will knock you sideways if you pick the wrong one.
Coil life is decent for a sweet salt. The ice flavours can shorten it if you chain vape them, but at 50/50 it doesn’t crystallise on the cotton the way heavier shortfills can.
The flavours worth knowing
With more than 50 flavours it’s easy to freeze at the shelf. These are the ones our customers reorder most.

Cherry Cola. The flavour people ask for by name. Sweet cherry over a fizzy cola base, with the two balanced so that neither one takes over. It’s nostalgic without being a novelty, and it sits in the gap between rich dessert liquids and plain mint that a lot of all-day vapers were looking for. It holds its taste over a full pod, doesn’t tire the coil quickly, and works especially well in compact pods running at low wattage. If you only try one Bar Juice flavour, make it this.
Blueberry Sour Raspberry. Sweet meets sharp. A juicy blueberry base with a sour raspberry edge on the exhale that keeps it lively. This was the flavour that defined the disposable era and it translates well to a pod kit; the sourness is real rather than a hint.
Strawberry Cherry Raspberry. A layered red fruit blend: sweet strawberry first, a deeper cherry note underneath, and tangy raspberry to finish. Smooth and not heavy, and one of the flavours we’d recommend to someone who has never vaped a nic salt before.
Fresh Mint and Menthol. Two different things. Fresh Mint is a clean, straightforward mint with nothing else mixed in, good for resetting your palate between fruit flavours or as a plain daily vape. Menthol is colder and crisper, closer to a menthol cigarette, and the one to pick if you smoked menthols.
Lemon & Lime. A bright citrus burst with a sharp lemon kick and a tangy lime twist. Light rather than sweet, which makes it an easy all-day flavour in summer.
Triple Mango. Three mango notes layered together, juicy on the inhale and deeper on the exhale. The best tropical option in the range, and one of the smoother sweet flavours.
Blueberry Cherry Cranberry. Sweet blueberry, bold cherry and a slightly tart cranberry edge. Less sugary than the pure berry flavours, so it’s the one to try if you find the others too sweet.
Double Apple Shisha. Red and green apple blended for a balanced, slightly layered taste with the aromatic shisha-style finish the name suggests. Not for everyone, but shisha fans tend to stick with it.
Beyond those, the range covers most of the old disposable favourites: Blue Razz Lemonade, Watermelon, Pink Lemonade, Strawberry Ice, Banana Ice, Gummy Bear, Mr Blue, Energy Ice, Kiwi Passionfruit Guava and a run of bubblegum and sweet flavours like Pink Bubba, Blue Bubba and Sour Rainbow. If you liked a specific bar, the Bar Juice version is usually named the same way.

| Fresh Mint | Pure clean mint | Low | Beginners, palate reset |
| Menthol | Cold, crisp menthol | Low | Menthol smokers |
| Lemon & Lime | Sharp lemon, tangy lime | Low-medium | Light, fresh daytime vaping |
| Triple Mango | Three-layer mango | High | Tropical, sweet tooth |

Most flavours are available in 5mg, 10mg and 20mg at 50VG/50PG, though not every flavour is made in all three: Cherry Cola is 10mg and 20mg only. Sweetness is our rating from testing, not a manufacturer figure.
5mg, 10mg or 20mg: which strength to buy
Because it’s a salt, the strength you’d pick for a freebase liquid doesn’t carry across. Nic salts hit smoother, so people who’d never manage 18mg freebase are perfectly comfortable on 20mg salt. The other side of that is that it’s easy to overdo it if you pick 20mg and then vape it in a powerful pod.
If you’re still not sure, our guide to how much nicotine you should vape works it out from how many cigarettes you smoked.
Which kit to use it in
Bar Juice 5000 is a mouth-to-lung liquid, full stop. At 50/50 with salt nicotine it belongs in a refillable pod kit or a small MTL tank with coils of 0.8Ω or above, run at low wattage. In a sub-ohm tank it will be far too harsh, burn through the bottle in a day and give you far more nicotine than you want in one pull.
The devices it works best in are the same ones people bought to replace disposables: compact pod kits with a 2ml pod and an auto-draw. Low wattage matters for two reasons. It keeps the nicotine delivery comfortable, and it preserves the finer notes in flavours like Cherry Cola that get flattened when a coil runs hot.

If you’d rather not fill anything, a prefilled pod kit gives you the disposable experience with a rechargeable battery, but you can’t put Bar Juice in one. The refillable route is cheaper per ml and gives you the full flavour list.
Getting the best from a bottle
- 1
Prime the pod. Fill it, then leave it standing for five to ten minutes before the first puff so the cotton is fully soaked. Most burnt-coil complaints come from skipping this.
- 2
Keep the wattage low. If your kit is adjustable, stay in the range printed on the coil. Salts taste best at the bottom of that range, not the top.
- 3
Give ice flavours their own pod. Menthol and cooling agents linger in cotton. Swapping from Strawberry Ice to Cherry Cola in the same pod means a cold cherry for a day.
- 4
Store it cool and dark. Nic salts keep well, but heat and sunlight dull the flavour and darken the liquid. A sealed bottle in a drawer is fine for a year or more.
How it compares with other nic salt ranges
Bar Juice 5000 isn’t the only range chasing the ex-disposable market, and it helps to know where it sits. Against Kingston, the comparison most people make, Bar Juice has the bigger flavour list and the more accurate disposable-style profiles, while Kingston offers more strength options and a wider spread of formats including large shortfills. We’ve written up the full Bar Juice 5000 vs Kingston comparison if you want the detail.
Against Hayati and Elux, the other two big names in this space, the differences are mostly about sweetness and cooling. Hayati Pro Max salts lean sweeter and icier; our top Hayati Pro Max flavours guide covers those. Elux and IVG sit closer to Bar Juice in style, and the Elux vs IVG comparison breaks that down. To see how it ranks across the whole category, it features in our top 10 e-liquid flavours list.
The honest summary: Bar Juice 5000 wins on choice and on matching the disposable flavours precisely. If you never found a disposable flavour you liked, one of the other ranges might suit you better. If you did, this is the range that gets closest to it.
Cost, packs and the vape duty
A 10ml bottle of Bar Juice lasts most pod users somewhere between three days and a week, which costs a fraction of what the same person used to spend on disposables over the same period. Buying the 3, 5 or 10 packs brings the per-bottle cost down further, and every £1 spent earns 1.8 reward points, with 75 points worth £1 off a future order.
The one thing to plan around is the Vaping Products Duty. From 1 October 2026 every 10ml of e-liquid carries £2.20 of duty, which comes to £2.64 once VAT is added on top. Stock we hold before that date stays at the pre-duty price until 31 March 2027, so if you’ve found your Bar Juice flavour, a 10 pack bought before October is the cheapest it’s going to be. The vape tax guide explains exactly what changes and when.

Quick answers
Nic salt. Every bottle uses salt nicotine at 50VG/50PG, which is why 20mg feels smooth rather than harsh. There’s no freebase version.
Cherry Cola, followed by Blueberry Sour Raspberry and Strawberry Cherry Raspberry. Cherry Cola’s balance of sweet fruit and fizz makes it an easy all-day vape that doesn’t get sickly.
No. It’s a 50/50 salt built for coils above 0.8Ω at low wattage. In a sub-ohm tank it will be harsh and deliver far too much nicotine per puff. Use a shortfill with a nic shot for direct-to-lung kits.
Very close. The flavours were designed to match the disposable versions and the strength is the same. The main difference is the device: a refillable pod with a fresh coil usually tastes cleaner than a disposable did.
Between three days and a week for most pod kit users, depending on strength and how often you vape. Higher strengths tend to last longer because you take fewer puffs.
